Breathwork Contraindications
Important Safety Information. Please note:
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a safe and nurturing self-healing modality for most people.
However, as a precaution please take a look at the contraindications below and contact me if you have any of the following conditions.
Any clients unsure of whether their current medical condition(s) or medication(s) might prevent them from safely participating in Conscious Connected Breathwork should check with their Doctor first. Please note that Dancing Light is not a medical practice and I am not medically trained.
The breath style I use is not advised for:
Cardiovascular/heart conditions
High or abnormal blood pressure
Diagnosed brain or abdomen aneurysm
Epilepsy or history of seizures
Uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid conditions
Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia, diagnosed bipolar or schizophrenia
Detached retina or glaucoma
Delicate/early stage pregnancy
Persons with mental illness or depression who are not in treatment or lack adequate support
Likewise, if you are on any heavy medications, or have undergone recent surgery, you are advised to seek medical counsel PRIOR to breathing with us.
If you still choose to breathe with Dancing Light please note your sessions will be focused on nose breathing and you will not be guided to connect your breath.
